About Us

The Teaching Artist Alliance is a network of vetted, highly skilled and sought-after teaching artists who are all qualified specialists in their respective disciplines. Our members are actors, choreographers, directors, puppeteers, playwrights and more. They’ve taught at schools, universities, festivals and in other settings from Alabama to Singapore.

Why TAA?

The Teaching Artist Alliance was founded in 2019 by Erin Carr, Brian Curl and Adam Michael Rose in response to theatre educators looking to connect more easily with top-tier professional teaching artists. However, we are in no way new to the world of classroom support. Individually, our members have been working as professional teaching artists across the globe for years, and, in many cases, for decades.

What We Offer

The teaching artists of TAA offer a range of theatre education options, ranging from in-person workshops and residencies to live and prerecorded online workshops (including ones you can purchase right now) in a wide variety of theatrical arts disciplines.
